Matt grew up on a farm in Southeastern Idaho. His family used their horses to work cattle and enjoyed trail riding and roping. “The horsemanship I grew up with was the old Western mentality of the John Wayne movies, where if a horse was giving you trouble, you bit his ear, hopped on him and hoped for the best,” Matt says.
