Horsemen from around the country will be pulling into the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch this Thursday to check in for the Colt Starting Clinic. The clinic will get underway Friday morning and run through Monday, September 7th.

Professional Clinician Jeff Davis will teach the 10-day course, helping participants prepare their horses on the ground for a safe first ride all the way through confidently loping their horses outside the arena and working over obstacles.

The clinic will follow Clinton’s approach to starting horses, which he learned from his mentor Gordon McKinlay. Clinton has laid out the approach in the Colt Starting Kit. In the training series, he works with a wild mustang, explaining the entire training process from how to catch and touch a wild horse to riding outside the arena on a loose rein.
